Wednesday Mar 27th Weekly Update

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Bit of a lighter week this week for us as Bar was down with COVID for most of it. Luckily Anna was able to doge COVID (so far) unlike most of the warehouse staff, and she's kept the kits steadily flowing out the door with the help of some friends that we’ve brought in to keep things moving.

Firmware V0.66

We have a weekly firmware update this week, although it’s a bit light since COVID left Bar with the brain power of a baked potato this week.

V0.66 adds a heart beat system so that if the wifi network goes down the user interface will let you know that the connection has been lost.

It also adds a system for checking the firmware version number easily by pressing the “Test” button which will be helpful for debugging.

Most significantly we got our FIRST COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION THIS WEEK! Forum member ronlawrence3 noticed that we could make the maslow.yaml file more clear by adding some comments about what each setting does. I thought that I had tried that and it didn’t work, but I was wrong! Ronlawrence3 fixed that by making our first community contribution to the code which is very very exciting. Hopefully there will be many more to come.

We did also work on some significant re-working of the internal mechanisms of the calibration process, but that is a big code change which will need more testing. So expect that in next week’s update.

Shipping Schedule Update:

The ship OOCL New York with our container is very close at this point. We got a bit of a tease that it was going to arrive early when it came into the Strait of Juan de Fuca several days ahead of schedule, but then it turned north up into Canada. We expect it to head down to Seattle in the next few days and we will try to get some pictures of it unloading.

Insider Edition - Shipping complete! We are waiting on shipping information from a few stragglers, so if you haven't seen your kit yet, reach out. Those who opted for local pickup can come to our office Thursday from 4-7 to get their kits, or Wednesday the 3rd from 4-7 as well. Anna emailed you all directions.

Batch 1 - Shipping is underway!

Batch 2 - Shipping the week of April 1st. It is likely that our next shipping container will arrive to restock us during this time, so shipping may lull a little.

Batch 3 - Shipping the week of April 8th. Batch 3 may push into the next week as well due to the shipping container arrival mentioned above.

Website Pre-Orders  - Shipping the week of April 15th and 22nd.
