Maslow Software Updates

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

This week we’ve got an updated video walking through the calibration process, a new firmware version, and automatic part nesting in Abundance.

Firmware version 1.05 updates the calibration control panel to better reflect the machine’s current state and communicate which actions are available from that state. 

This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now and it feels great to have it done. 

I had been delaying making a new walkthrough for the calibration process until those changes were made (knowing that otherwise it would be out of date immediately), so now that those changes are in I will be working my way through updating the documentation to show the new system.

Layout in abundance

Finally, this week we got automatic part nesting working in Abundance. Abundance can now take your assembly of 3D parts and automatically nest them onto an arbitrary sized sheet of material.

There is still some room to improve on how it works, but it’s a good starting point.
